Comment: Back up at the lake today and it fished well. Hard fighting fish and I got 16. Vic got 14 we lost a lot as well. The icing on the cake was it was good to have some off the lads together again Russell/JC doing his magic again and even using a SAGE rod (you took your time)LOL. The usual banter between Vic and Myself on a close fought day, just what the doctor ordered.

Comment: The fishing this week has been very good on both lakes.J.C was top rod this week with 40 fish on the fly lake. Most of the fish fell for his claret can of worms fished on a floating line. Frank Hutchision and Jonny Russel also had big catches on the same method. The cooler weather has brought the fishing on really well with fish being caught on all methods.John bell and son Nathan went home on Saturday with 17 nice fish from the bait lake.Good to see John back and fishing well. BEST CATCHES THIS WEEK FLY. J.C 40, SODA 32, FRANK 30, JONNY RUSSEL 28, JAMES COYLE 26, DAVY WILSON 23, HARRY MURPHY 21, WILLIE DAVISION 21, TAGGED FISH HARRY MURPHY [WHO ELSE]

Comment: Top rod this week was Deckie Mcroary from Strabane who landed 30 fish on the fly lake.Deckie got most of his fish on an olive goslin fished slowly on a floating line.Jeff Garrett had 28 on Thursday and j.c had 27 on sunday.Tag king Harry Murphy fished hard on Saturday and landed 20 nice rainbows but no tags this time. The tags this week went to Billy Hayes and Deckie Mcroary both caught on sunday. The bait lake has also fished well this week with some good bags of trout. Frank Murry is back in action this week but struggled on sunday.Franks mate Gerie also from Bangor caught her fish with ease and had to wait on Frank to fill his bag limit. I think Frank is just a little rusty, so don't be to hard on him Gerie. The bait lake fishing best early morning so if you can try and get there early. Both lakes are available for private days and the bait lake has turned out a big hit for group days and birthday partys.
