Comment: William with the Hardy Angel complete outfit took top score on Saturday 8th March with 46 hard fighting rainbows. The sage and Ron Thompson camps tried to keep up but alas they could not. Good to see the weather now go on the change for the better. Bring on the next round for Team Ron and may the games begin.

Comment: Jonny hits new heights. Top rod this week was Johnny Russell from Portadown. johnny got 70 nice rainbows on Saturday. The fish fell for a claret can of worms fished on a floating line with a near static retrieve. with the stormy weather on Thursday and Friday the lake was well rested and the fishing was extra good over the weekend. Buzzers have worked well this week along with black weeds and blobs. On sunday Shane Mcaleer from strabane got a tag and 21 fish but sunday will be remembered for the big Mink hunt and it is still debateable as to who got the mink was it PG. OR MT. Don't no but both men have claimed the bragging rights. The bait lake continues to fish well with the spinner working best this week. That's all this week and don't forget to leave a comment on your days fishing at the Rectory.

Comment: Both lakes fishing extra well even with the bad weather. Mark Tierney was top rod this week with 36 fish on sunday. Mark got his fish on a team of buzzers fished on a floating line. Harry Murphy landed 35 on the same day on a mixture of lures and blobs. The weather has been extra bad this week with strong winds and flood water but the fish continue to bite well.Frank Murry was up on Saturday with three new faces from Bangor. They all fished well and filled there bag limits. The winner of this weeks spot prize was Deckie Milligan from Craigavon. Gerry Mcvey had hard luck with a fish on straight after the whistle but lost the fish at the bank. Better luck next time Gerry. If you give me a ring TO the fishery Malcolm I can give you the information you need on the cottage.

Comment: Big catches on the fly this week. Martin king was top rod this week with 53 fish on Saturday. Martin got his fish on a grey goslin fished slowly on a floating line. The fish took well over the weekend and were high in the water. Davey Wilson continues to fish well on Fridays with 35 fish this week. Tags this week were caught by Lee Bradley and James Coyle. The fishery will be open on boxing day and all weekend as usual with the competition on new years day starting on both lakes at 9am sharp. Could the winners of last years comp please return the cups ASAP. Tommy Mullan is hot favourite this year for the bait lake. Tommy was pipped at the post last year but from what I hear hes in tip top condition this year and rareing to go.
